The Story

Keith's Clock Restoration grew out of a love and appreciation for old clocks and the craftsmanship that went into making them. What started with repairing and restoring vintage clocks became an opportunity to help other people preserve clocks that have history, character, and often generations of family memories behind them.

Some of the clocks that come through the shop are more than a century old. Some are pieces other repairers weren't comfortable working on. Some are simple mantel clocks a grandchild inherited and wants to hear ticking again. Every one gets treated the same way — with patience, honesty, and respect for the original character of the clock.

The goal is simple: bring these clocks back to life and keep them running for the next generation.

“I take the time to talk with folks about their clock. I listen to what it's doing, explain what I find, and only do the work that needs doing.”

— Keith

The way I work

Talk. Diagnose. Fix — honestly.

  1. I.

    Let's talk about the clock.

Bring it in or call and tell me what it's doing. I'll listen — clocks tell you more than you'd think, and the first conversation is where the real diagnosis starts.

  2. II.

    I diagnose honestly.

I'll explain what I find in plain English. If a clock is worth repairing, I'll tell you what it will take. If it isn't, I'll tell you that too — and I'll never talk you into work that doesn't need doing.

  3. III.

I only do the work that needs doing.

The goal is to keep the clock true to itself. Original parts stay when they can, replacements match when they can't, and every clock leaves the shop ready to run for the next generation.
